The kidneys of her did not heal when she contracted an infection that was septic and she had multiple organ malfunctions. It was then a regimen of hemodialysis, followed by peritoneal dilution. After nearly 80 days in the hospital from near-death to long road towards recovery, she made it home but the course of her life changed forever. Angelica, after a one-year dialysis treatment and a half-year of dialysis, was now set for her biggest operation of all - a kidney replacement. Angelica's mom was the only one with the ability to give an organ. Angelica Hale was able to undergo a kidney transplant together with her mother on 13th of September, 2013. The surgery was performed at Emory University Hospital, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale pursued her dream of being a star from the beginning.
